Who is PEER

PEER is a consortium of 12 partners from Romania, the UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Spain, Lithuania, Ireland and Italy. It has supported more than 500 Roma young people to learn about participation and to take action to improve things they care about in 9 different countries. PEER is coordinated by Prof Maria Roth at Babes Boylai University, Cluj-Napocca and the lead researcher is Dr Cath Larkins, Director of The Centre for Children and Young People’s Participation at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

This Action Guide was created by a team from UCLan using words of advice from Roma young people who have taken part in PEER and their workers. Each partner organisation provided advice. We combined this advice, then young people in each country advised on a draft guide, providing more videos, ideas and images.
