Run Activities for Other People
Try running activities for other Roma children and young people. We ran a leisure club for younger children and we ran sessions with other Roma young people about rights and discrimination.
- Organise an event to show off the work you have done in your group.
- You could also try running activities for adults and young people outside of the community, to make them more aware of Roma culture and rights. We ran a “Live Library” to share our culture with professionals and ran sessions about improving Roma participation, discrimination and cultural awareness. We also organised meetings to facilitate communication between employees of the public library and young Roma users.
- Or you could set up services for other people. We ran a translation service for young people needing help to access student support services. And we offered beauty services to raise money and then used this money to provide food and clothing for homeless people in our neighbourhoods.
